Judged by 29 nationally recognized quality improvement leaders, 57 Illinois hospitals submitted more than 100 projects. “The quality excellence achievement awards illuminate the tremendous quality improvement initiatives implemented across Illinois hospitals and health care systems. Our 2013 award winners and applicants demonstrated sustained improvement in health care value by improving quality and reducing unnecessary costs,” said Derek Robinson, MD, executive
director, IHA's Institute for Innovations in Care and Quality. “The compendium is a concrete representation of their unceasing work and can be used by the entire hospital community to learn from and build on their remarkable achievements.”

HPOE is proud to feature all the quality award applicants. As a resource to other health professionals, these case studies will be highlighted throughout the year. You can find all the case studies by using the filter on the left side of this site (case studies-IHA case studies).
