Forrest General Hospital - Dare to C.A.R.E.

Dare to C.A.R.E. is a comprehensive cardiovascular disease early-detection and education program. C.A.R.E. stands for the types of cardiovascular disease the screenings are designed to detect: carotid artery stenosis, abdominal aortic aneurysm, renal artery stenosis, and extremity artery stenosis. The two-day event includes a talk by a local physician followed by scheduled screening appointments the next day for qualifying participants. Screenings include a non-invasive ultrasound of carotid arteries in the neck, the aorta in the abdomen, and an evaluation of leg circulation.
