Helen Keller Hospital - Joint Camp

Joint Camp is an educational program designed to reduce anxiety and to help patients make a smooth transition from the hospital to recovery, following a knee, hip, shoulder, or other orthopedic procedure. Participants are led, step-by-step through details leading up to and following their surgery. Participants receive a “Joint Camp” back pack with camp-friendly items such as bottled water, snack, and useful literature/material. The two-hour camp is held quarterly, at no charge. Community Relations coordinates the camp which includes presentations by speakers from surgery and rehabilitation services. Questions are encouraged.
