AHA Dick Davidson NOVA Award

The AHA Dick Davidson NOVA Award recognizes the collaborative work of hospitals and community organizations to improve the health status of individuals and communities. Specifically, the award honors AHA members who:

  • Improve community health status whether through health care, economic or social initiatives; and
  • Are collaborative, joint efforts among health care systems or hospitals, or among hospitals and other community leaders and organizations.

The 2021 application period is closed.

The 2021 winners will be notified in May and announced in July. The 2022 application will be available in August.

Readiness

How do you know if your program is ready to apply for the AHA Dick Davidson NOVA Award?

A hospital or health care system, in collaboration with community organizations, who is measuring and evaluating the impact of its work on community health status is ready to apply for an award.

In 2021, up to five organizations will be recognized with AHA Dick Davidson NOVA Awards.

Please contact Jane Jeffries (jjeffries@aha.org; 312-422-2712) if you have any questions.
