Patient Safety Awareness Week 2018 – March 11-17

Patient Safety Awareness Week (PSAW) will be March 11-17, 2018. Once again, this celebration is sponsored by the National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF), which began working together with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) last year. This year’s PSAW focuses on safety culture and patient engagement. PSAW is an opportunity for hospitals and health systems to share their work and resources on patient safety, safety culture and patient engagement. The AHA will share information about the work that hospitals are doing through the AHAStat blog, social media channels like Twitter and Facebook, and this website, which has links to resources and information on patient safety from across the AHA. The AHA has also developed talking points to help you craft your messages on PSAW that can be found here.
