Equity of Care Infographic: Diversity and Disparities Survey

The results are based on 1,109 hospitals and indicate a slight rise in cultural competency training. However, minorities represented in leadership positions remained flat. This is an update from the 2011 study. The infographic provides a visual snapshot of the major findings in the survey and can be easily shared among colleagues. It shows the changing demographics for the United States and the impact on health care delivery, along with improvement in the collection of race, ethnicity and primary language data.

The survey and infographic are based on the benchmarking survey created in partnership with the Equity of Care initiative and the Institute for Diversity in Health Management.
